Hifz AlNaema Center has announced the harvest of its work during the year 2018, which witnessed a tangible and clear development this year. The Center represented the Food Bank Department responsible for maintaining the surplus of food donations by maintaining 468,581 meals distributed by 21% over the previous year, benefiting 242,649 employees and 33,668 The center also distributed more than 8 tons of meat, 1 ton of chicken, 4.5 tons of rice and 4.7 tons of sugar. The charity's warehouse department received 2599 pieces of furniture, 2027 carpets and upholstery, 481 electronic devices, 674 electrical appliances and nearly 200 tons of clothes, which were distributed to needy families after studying the submitted cases. Limited income, which enabled the Center to develop its work and expand its utilization of its activities. The Center has implemented many projects in its seasonal programs. It has supervised the breakfast of some 200 thousand fasting people during the holy month of Ramadan through 29 sites, distributed 15,000 meals to families in need within the "Breakfast" project. 1000 food baskets to needy families, and distributed the sacrifice to 458 families. In the area of administrative and organizational development of the work, the Center has developed a guide to policies, procedures and criteria for financial assistance, in kind and food. The Center also contributed to Georgetown University's research on food waste. In the field of awareness, the Center organized awareness lectures for school students. The number of students benefiting from these lectures reached approximately 500 students. It also organized an information campaign for a large number of media and social networking sites to raise awareness about the dangers of waste and the need to rationalize and maintain surplus food.
